  • Please note this scholarship application is applicable towards Infant, Toddler, Preschool and Day Camp programs.

    We are pleased that you have chosen Kamaʻaina Kids as your child’s early education and care provider. In our commitment to making our services accessible to families across all programs and income levels, we offer a scholarship fund. This fund is made possible through generous contributions from FHB Kokua Mai, Foodland Give Aloha, private donors, and the continued support of Kamaʻaina Kids families.

    While we strive to support as many families as possible, scholarship funds are limited. Awards typically range from 10% to 50% of tuition and are applied after any external assistance has been considered.

    To ensure scholarships are distributed fairly and based on need, applicants must meet specific eligibility criteria. We encourage you to take a few minutes to review these requirements. If you believe you may qualify, please contact your center director or site coordinator to request an application.

    1. Enrollment with Kama’aina Kids
    2. No more than 60% of tuition assistance from outside sources
    3. Letter of acceptance/denial from DHS Child Care Connection Subsidy
    4. 2 adult household with both parents/guardians working full-time or attending school full time
    5. 1 adult household has parent/guardian working or attending school full-time
    6. Ability to verify income for the past 6 months or full-time school status
    7. No past due amount owed to Kama’aina Kids
    8. Income level at or below the following limits:

  • To expedite your scholarship request all you need to do at minimum is furnish proof that you applied for a DHS subsidy.

    In order to apply and receive a scholarship from Kamaʻaina Kids, you must first apply for DHS Childcare Subsidy. If you are denied, you may still be eligible for a scholarship from Kamaʻaina Kids.
